and PRICING

Thank you for your interest in headshot photography. Whether you're an individual who needs something simple, or you're looking for someone to photograph your team of 100, I'm confident I can deliver the images you need to put your best foot forward. I hope you find this information helpful. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact me.

WHAT IS A HEADSHOT?

By most definitions, a headshot is a close-up photo of an individual that includes the head and shoulders, and part of the torso. Typically it would be shot on a simple background in a vertical orientation and would not extend below the waist, but modern headshots can certainly blur those lines for a variety of reasons. A full- or 3/4-length photo is simply a portrait, and for business use it might include more of the subject's surroundings -- office, workplace, etc. -- and be referred to as an "environmental portrait." If you include more dynamic images, often with multiple people interacting, you have a "lifestyle portrait." See this gallery for examples

WHERE CAN WE DO HEADSHOT SESSIONS?

Anywhere in Jacksonville or the surrounding area, or beyond. (Distant locations may be subject to a travel fee.) I can bring everything I need with me to create studio-quality headshots right in your home or office. For a less formal look, we can also meet at another location of your choosing (parks, the beach, or downtown locations are popular). If you're an individual or a small group, I also offer the option of coming to my home studio if it’s convenient for you. (It’s less expensive as well.) I live in the Intracoastal West area, off Atlantic Boulevard.

I also have several backgrounds available that provide a rustic or outdoor look, so consider that as an option that will let us shoot indoors in comfort.

WHEN ARE YOU AVAILABLE?

I’m available for headshot sessions most weekdays and evenings. I usually reserve weekends for extended portrait sessions and events. I’ve found that morning sessions are preferable, as that’s when clothing, hair and makeup are at their best.

HOW DO THE SESSIONS WORK? HOW DO I CHOOSE MY FAVORITES?

The session usually lasts 20-30 minutes for one person and can include multiple backgrounds and/or outfit changes. On location, I can usually photograph 10-15 people per hour, depending on background and lighting needs. After the session, I will perform preliminary edits on the photos and place them in an online gallery so you can choose your final image(s). Once you’ve made your selections, I’ll perform the final retouching and then deliver them through another online gallery. If you end up liking more images than you initially paid for, you can purchase additional images at the rates below.

WHAT IS YOUR PRICING STRUCTURE?

In-studio headshot sessions include one edited & retouched digital image. For on-location sessions, the session and images are priced separately. Additional images may be purchased at the prices indicated below. Sessions can also include more than one person: you only pay for the additional images for those people. So the more people you have to be photographed, the more economical it becomes.

Individuals and businesses
Session fee, in studio: $219 ($199 if paid in advance; includes one high-image)
Session fee, on location: $300  (digital images priced separately)
Additional images:   $45 each

Pricing includes licensing for typical business and personal use (This includes use for resumes, websites, social media, business cards, etc., but does not include more extensive print or display advertising, which requires an additional licensing fee.)

Per-image pricing for larger groups (11 or more) is even less. Please see the link below to request a quote.
