JACKSONVILLE HEADSHOTS
Professional headshots help you make a great first impression — and they’re more important than ever in today’s digital world. Your headshot is often the first thing people see on LinkedIn, your company website, or social media. A high-quality, professional image communicates confidence, approachability, and professionalism before you even say a word.
WHY PROFESSIONAL HEADSHOTS MATTER
A professional headshot helps you:
Make a strong first impression — capture attention before you even speak. Studies show that professional headshots garner significantly more attention on LinkedIn.
Build trust and professionalism — an expertly lit, well-composed image shows you take your work seriously.
Stay consistent across platforms — maintain a polished and unified personal or corporate brand.
Stand out from the crowd — highlight your unique personality in a competitive marketplace.
EXPERIENCE YOU CAN TRUST
As one of Jacksonville’s leading headshot photographers, I’ve been creating high-quality headshots for the area’s most prominent organizations and countless individuals for more than 15 years. From executive portraits to creative personal branding photos, I understand how to create images that align with your goals and reflect your best self.
I offer studio and on-location headshot sessions, whether for one person or a team of 100. Using professional lighting and direction, I create studio-quality results anywhere — in your office or on-site.
My goal is to make the process easy, comfortable, and efficient — so you walk away with images that truly represent you. If you’re ready to update your professional image — or your company’s — I’d be happy to help you put your best face forward.
Pricing is straightforward: Headshots start at $199 for an in-studio session and $300 for an on-location session. Adding more people to the same session results in significant savings. Click below to get a detailed quote for your specific situation and to start the booking process.
Executive headshot of Leo, a Jacksonville-based manager with the Cintas company. The classic medium-gray background works well with almost any clothing choice and any skin tone.
Headshots for real-estate professionals. The solid black background behind Sally makes for a dramatic contrast with her white jacket, and gives a lot of versatility for her to use the image on business cards and marketing materials.
HEADSHOT FAQs
Q: What’s the difference between a headshot and a branding photo?
A: A headshot is simply a close-up photo of an individual that includes the head and shoulders, and part of the torso. Typically it would be shot on a simple background in a vertical orientation and would not extend below the waist, but modern headshots can certainly blur those lines for a variety of reasons. (Scroll down for more examples of those differences.)
In contrast, a BUSINESS or PERSONAL-BRANDING PHOTO shows more of you and often includes backgrounds that give a hint as to your work or your passions. See more examples toward the bottom of the page. Portraits shot in the workplace can also include dynamic activity, often with multiple people interacting, I call those "environmental" or "lifestyle portraits." You can see examples of all of these in my Commercial Portraits gallery
Q: Where can we do headshot sessions?
A: Anywhere in Jacksonville or the surrounding area — or beyond. (Distant locations may be subject to a travel fee.) If you're an individual or a small group, I also offer the option of coming to my home studio. (It’s less expensive as well.) I live in the Intracoastal West area, off Atlantic Boulevard. For location sessions, I can bring everything I need with me to create studio-quality headshots right in your home or office. For a less formal look, we can also meet at an outdoor location of your choice. I also have several backgrounds available that provide a rustic or outdoor look, so consider that as an option that will let us shoot indoors in comfort. See all my studio backgrounds.
Q: Do you offer retouching on the headshot photos?
A: Absolutely! Detailed retouching is provided on all images selected for purchase at no extra cost. My editing is done tastefully and with a light touch, so you don’t end up with a plastic-looking picture of someone who resembles you, but a representation of you on your best day!
Q: How quickly can I get my headshots?
A: After your session I’ll perform a basic edit on your images and place them in an online gallery for you to review. This gallery is usually available within a few hours of your session. Once you’ve selected your favorites, I’ll do the final retouching and then deliver them through another online gallery, usually within 24 hours.
Q: How should I prepare for my headshots? What should I wear?
A: Simple is better! Think about what you would wear to a job interview in your field and go with that. If you’re a creative type, think about what best reflects your brand or the image you’re trying to convey. For more detailed advice, CONTACT ME for a prep guide.

BUSINESS and PERSONAL BRANDING PORTRAITS
These are for businesses and individuals who want something a bit less traditional than the typical head-and-shoulders headshot. They're usually 3/4-length, or even full-length, and let you express more of your personality and passions, or give some hint as to the kind of work you do, or where you do it. Locations? Indoors, outdoors, or in a studio setting -- we can do these anywhere. There aren't really any rules -- the only limits are your imagination.
One of my law-firm clients decided to update their standard headshots with something a bit more modern, so I photographed this new associate in the lobby of their building.
Hannah is a real-estate professional, We shot this branding photo in the kitchen of a model home.
Jessica's company had me in for a headshot session, but also wanted a few photos with a more relaxed vibe, so I did some wider shots of each employee. The hand on her hip and the tilt of her head give this corporate portrait a friendly, casual feel.
Donna is a real-estate professional, but after we did some headshots, she let me create this image, which would work well for social media -- or a modeling portfolio.
