Curtis & Cortney's Wedding
Of all the weddings I've photographed recently, I knew more guests at Curtis and Cortney's than any of them. That's because a lot of their friends knew them the same way I did -- through their involvement in YouthQuake Live, a ministry designed by teens to reach teens. In fact, serving in YQL was how they got to know each other and, eventually, fell in love. YouthQuake's executive director, Blake Bennett, performed the ceremony, and founder Sean Yost prayed a special blessing over them after the ceremony. The ceremony was simple, and the setting was Curtis's family cabin on beautiful Black Creek. They danced in the cool air and listened to friends and family toast their happiness, and when they left, fireworks went off. Really -- see the photo below!
I guess you could say this was my first YouthQuake Live wedding. I hope it isn't my last.
